Noble Spirit: Australian Wildlife Portraits
1 November 2017 @ 10:00 am - 14 November 2017 @ 4:00 pm
FreeEsther Beaton has travelled the Australian continent as a professional photographer for over 35 years. This exhibition represents a selection of those precious moments of connection with a wild animal – ones which were so moving, they reinforced her lifelong commitment to photographing Australia’s wild beauty. Now she shares those moments of discovery and awe with those who may never get the chance of a face-to-face encounter with our elusive native fauna.
Some images are of iconic subjects while others reveal new dimensions and mysteries of Australia’s natural world. With Beaton’s mastery of light, shadow and colour, she transform the portraits into subjects of power, beauty and wonder. The collection of 30 photographic prints have been printed on beautiful art paper, to archival standards, and framed.
