Therapeutic Landscapes Conference

‘Making Connections – Plants and People’. Cultivate is the peak body for horticultural therapy in NSW. This inaugural one day professional conference highlights the interaction between plants and people and the resulting therapeutic benefits experienced by our interconnectedness. Our aim is to increase this understanding and move towards standard training and practice in Australian professional services in therapeutic horticulture with an emphasis on evidence based practice.

Key note speakers: Anna Baker Cresswell, HighGround UK, on the horticultural therapy for the military ‘Gardening Leave’ and the Defence Rehabilitation Centre and Dr Theresa Scott, presenting research on the benefits of gardening for older adults.
