In spring 2016, Western Australia’s brand-new Open Gardens West Coast will launch its first season, opening three Perth gardens.
The first garden to open belongs to well-known Perth gardening personality, garden writer and consultant Deryn Thorpe, whose Mount Lawley garden is brimming with cottage garden favourites, luscious roses, flower-laden wisteria, pretty purple Petrea and lots of flowering bulbs.
Open on 8 and 9 October from 10am to 4.30pm both days, Deryn’s garden surrounding her beautiful 100 year-old home is a must see! Entry $10, at 13 First Avenue Mt Lawley. Plant stalls, home-made refreshments plus restored vintage and classic cars on display.
